Reflecting on Today’s Verse
At the heart of our existence lies a profound question: What do we truly live for, and what makes life worth sacrificing everything? When Paul faced the possibility of death while imprisoned, his answer was unwavering: “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” For Paul, Christ was the foundation of his life, the reason to keep going, and the hope beyond death.
Our faith calls us to hold a similar conviction. Without this hope, our future is uncertain, but with Christ, we have an eternal promise—a hope that never fades or fails (1 Peter 1:4). I pray that, dear friend, we can look forward to the day we stand in the glorious presence of Jesus, transformed and radiant, as described in 1 John 3:1-3 and Colossians 3:1-4.
A Prayer for Faith and Hope
Lord God, forgive me for any times my words or actions have obscured Your work in my life. Throughout the days You grant me here on this earth, help me to live as a shining example of Jesus’ grace. I eagerly await the day You return in triumph and welcome me into Your eternal home. Until then, use me as a vessel to share Your love and bring others to faith. I am grateful that no matter what the future holds, You have intertwined it with the victory of Your Son, my Savior. I pray with hopeful anticipation in His name, Amen.
