4 things to know about Trump’s surgeon general pick Casey Means

He praised Means’ “MAHA credentials,” referring to the acronym for “Make America Healthy Again,” and described her “academic achievements, together with her life’s work” as “absolutely outstanding.” Trump vowed that “she will work closely with our wonderful Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to ensure a successful implementation of our agenda in order to reverse the Chronic Disease Epidemic, and ensure Great Health, in the future for all Americans.” He maintained that “Dr. Casey Means has the potential to be one of the finest Surgeon Generals in United States History.” Means’ nomination comes after Trump’s previous pick to serve as Surgeon General, Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, withdrew her nomination ahead of an expected confirmation hearing ahead of the Senate’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee last Thursday. Get Our Latest News for FREESubscribe to get daily/weekly email with the top stories (plus special offers!) from The Christian Post.
